North Queensferry Local Action Plan

Description

Fife Council Community Learning Development, in partnership with various Fife Council Services, partner agencies, local community groups and residents of North Queensferry are in the process of designing, developing and delivering area wide community consultations.

The community consultations will be the key driver of developing a North Queensferry Local Action Plan. The partnership group above will strive to make the Local Action Plan Consultations as inclusive as is possible.

This will be a truly community led process, engaging with any local community group and all residents who wish to participate in the Local Action Plan Consultations.

The Place Standards Framework is a proven community consultation tool that can assess and identify priorities for and with the North Queensferry Community.

The Place Standards Consultation Framework has identified 14 themes that can be explored with local people to determine how they feel about their wider community and can assist the development of a Local Action Plan.

The 14 themes have been placed into 3 groupings, to assist the Local Action Plan Consultation Process:

Group 1
· Moving around
· Public transport
· Traffic and parking
· Feeling safe

Group 2
· Streets and spaces
· Natural space
· Play and recreation
· Social contact
· Facilities and amenities

Group 3
· Work and local economy
· Identity and belonging – including tourism opportunities
· Housing and community
· Care and maintenance
· Influence and sense of control
